Why can"t a toddler sleep at night? Hasn't slept all night from birth she is now 26months.Has been checked by doctors. Wakes up crying or toss and turns and whines. Doctor now says she can't go anywhere over night (grandmas) must stay in own bed. Even in parents bed or grandmas bed she tosses and turns and whines. Got a clue?
a baby when in mother wombs sleep during day and plays whole night.the reason behind this is that during day mother works the water in which baby baths makes him feels like as if he is in a rocker and so he enjoys and sleeps while at night when mother takes rest this sensation is no more so he is awake.this set his rhythm of sleeping at night and waking in day even after when he is born.this generally takes some months to go on and a babys sleep cycle is arranged like ours.in your child case this seems its still the same cycle he is following.this is habitual problem.you will have to change his habit. plz stop giving him naps in morning.keep him engaged in play activities. thn he will sleep at night and slowly slowly this will become his habit.
