3 1/2 Yr Old Gets Tonsillitis Very Often, Has Tonsils Is Swollen, Red With Dark Red Lines. What Is It ?
My daughter of 3 1/2 gets tonsillitis very often so i check her throat regularly. I noticed that her tonsils are a little red and swollen quite a lot with dark red lines/veins. It got worse over a couple of days. She does not seem to be sick or have other symptoms. Could it be tonsillitis again and should i take her to the gp?
Hi,
if your daughter is symptom free,no fever, no throat pain then do not do anything now- wait and watch. Children of this age have lymphoid hyperplasia and tonsils look big and then regrees with growth.Take care
