3 Year Child Having Red Blotchy Spots On Legs. No Change With Diet. Should I Go For Medical Check Up?
My 3 year old daughter has a light blotchy red look to her legs... nowhere else on her body. Not raised in any way. She says it is not itchy. Has had for 2 days. No changes in food/diet/lotions/soaps. Has been wearing only shorts/dresses, so no pants rubbing. Does she need to go in to have it checked? No fever or any other symptoms.
Hi, After reading your history it appears that your daughter might have developed mild dermatitis problem over the affected area. You can apply a calamine lotion with cortisone cream over the affected area. You can take benadryl for itching part. Do not expose her to hot humid weather, let her wear cotton clothes and clean the are regularly for 3-4 times with cold water. If it persist beyond 7 days or if it increases then it will be better for you to take a good suggestion from a dermatologist.
