3 Year Old With Constipation, Developed Fissure And Skin Tag. Cure?
my daughter 3yrs 6 months has consyipation. she passes hard stools nearly alternate day. stressing much. she developed fishurre while she was nearly 8 month. fishure is no more there but skin tags do exist. we tried giving her some granules in milk which soften her stools. it helps as long as we continue it. i too have a history of constipation .
Hi ,
Thank you for your query.
You need to give a stool softener for atleast 20 days so that she has liquid stool.
That will take the pain away during defaecation.
Anal fissure should be treated with application of anovate cream and 5% Xylocaine jelly mixed in equal quantities thrice daily per rectally for 6 weeks.
Give her plenty of water, fruits, fruit juices and fibre in the diet.
If you have any further queries you are free to consult me.
Hope this answers your query.
Wishing your child a speedy recovery.
Have a nice day.
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
Because of constipation, the fissures will develop and they will heal and get infected again if constipation develops.
The skin tag outside is called sentinel pile and it is indicative of the presence of fissure inside.
For constipation, give plenty of oral fluids, dietary fiber rich foods like vegetables and fruits on daily basis.
Oral lactulose can be given for 3 to 5 days whenever child is passing hard stool with the doctor prescription.
Consult a Pediatric surgeon for the management of fissure.
Hope I have answered your query.
