38 Weeks Pregnant With 2 Cm Dilation. Shooting Pain In Right Buttock, Sore Vagina, Pain To Move Legs. Urine, BP Good. Thoughts?
Hello I'm 38 weeks pregnant 2cm dilated 3rd pregnancy 2 child. Well my question is I've been having this shooting pain in my right bottock even laying down and my vagina is really sore hurts to get up walk around or even more my legs. I haven't been feeling Braxton Hicks contractions with this pregnancy but know they are there. My doctor said my urine is good and so is my blood pressure so what could these pains be??
Hi, The pains you are experiencing are likely to be due to the laxity of the pelvic joints. Soreness of the vagina is probably due to the descent of the head, any recent intercourse or pelvic examination. So long as your vital parameters are normal, you need not worry. Please watch out for signs of labor and get help immediately as you may not take longer time this being your third delivery. Please try to lie down on your left lateral position as this helps to improve the utero-placental circulation and also helps to release pressure on the right buttock. You can also use local analgesic applications. Wish you safe motherhood.
