4 Stitches After Getting Hit On Leg, Edema Developed, Spreading. Anything To Worry?

On Monday, my husband hit hid leg into the iron at work (ironworker)....he got 4 stitches to the area between his knee and ankle, in the front....a few hours later, he developed edema next to it, lump-like, almost...no pain....today it has moved to his ankle, not the leg, just edema now to that ankle...should we be concerned?

Hello user,
As per your history, I think you must let your surgeon/doctor see your stitches as it may have got infected.

And the spreading of the lesion is also a reason to get concerned.

hope my advise helped you
