4 Year Old Child Has Blood When Having A Bowel Movement

My 4 year old often has bright red blood on the toilet paper and round the rectum after a bowel movement . This has been on going for about a year. We took him to the doctor last year and they drew blood and had us bring a stool sample in and everything came back fine. Sometimes he goes weeks without any issue, but other times there is blood every time when he has a bowel movement. It always seems to be around the anal opening. I think I can see where it appears to tear. His bowel movements sometimes are as large as an adults. He is in good health aside from this. He experiences no other pain and only twice has he complained about his bottom hurting after a bowel movement. How common is this is children ages 3 to 5?

This can be from anal fissure or piles. Are his stools hard . The best thing is to maintain the consistency of his stools loose for some time allowing time to heal. From herbs i would suggest psylum husk [ isabgol ] with milk.
