Dear friend,
I am Dr. (Col) R Karanwal, M.D. (Internal Medicine), Consultant Physician, for your assistance.
Thanks for reposing your faith in me and post your query on this website. I fully appreciate your concerns.
1. Firstly,
Eltroxin is a hormone: one should not increase the dose on his/her own!
2. Your
TSH (on regular Eltroxin) is within normal/desirable range. Hence, CONTINUE WITH 75MCG dose daily.
3. Since you are pregnant, make sure that your TSH remains under control (between 1-2uIU/ml) THROUGHOUT
pregnancy. Otherwise, your baby too is likely to be born with
hypothyroidism. Repeat TSH at least once in 3 months during pregnancy.
4. Passage of light color discharge after urine needs evaluation, as it is not due to eltroxin. Are you on any other medicines or vitamins? Get your urine examination done to exclude urinary infection.
Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.
I am sure that you will benefit from the advice.
May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance. My endeavor would always be to give you a sound
medical advice, to the best of my knowledge and vast experience.
HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.
Fond Regards,
Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
