42yrs Old Pregnant. Overweight. Baby Has Cystic Fibrosis. Should I Abort The Baby?
my daughter is 42 yrs old, has 2 children 18 & 22 different fathers- she is pregnant 20 wks -father not around and she has been told the baby has a severe case of cystic fibrosis . She is not on welfare but has to work long hours to pay her bills and she is very over weight she weighs over 300 lbs. what are your thought of aborting this baby which would have had to be born C section the other 2 were also C sections.

If fetus is having severe cystic fibrosis,there may be possibility of chromosomal anomaly also.
So I will advise you to go for termination.

Your daughther would need to assess the pros and cons of having the baby. She would need to determine if she would be able to manage with support from her family.
Aborting a child is an extremely personal decision and she may want to consider if or how it may affect her if she does it.
hi welcome to hcm.see there are very complicated pregnancy as first she too old and complication increase with age and second baby has cystic fibrosis so u ask the doc that baby survive after birth or ask about his development and risk of pregnancy if continue then after guidance of ur doc decided further decision.
