5 Month Old Having Dry Cough. Is This Due To Dehydration? Can He Be Treated With Humidifier?

My son will be 5 months on the 12th, but the past 3 evenings I have noticed he has a dry cough but he can barely cry it comes out squeaky, broken, and quiet. My family is all known to get dehydrated easy and his older brother was the same could this be it?, should I be getting him a humidifier or take him to emergency?

Hi, Thanks for query.
Having cough in infant,do not take it likely.
He may develop pneumonia or acute bronchiolitis can create big problem.
Take him to ER and get examined.
Some blood work also may require.
Ok and bye.
