5 Months Old. Urine Sticky. Blood Sugar 97. What Is The Cause For Sticky Urine?

hello doctor. My daughter is 5 months old. From last few days, my mother in law has observed that her urines seems to be sticky. She examined this by touching urine between fingers. We did a blood suger test for baby and suger level came to be 97. As per doctor her suger level was normal. Can you advise if this sticky urine could be cause of concern?

Hello
Thanks for the query
Sticky urine may be normal in infancy, but if it persists for a long duration then its a problem.
Is your child cries during passing urine or is there is decrease in frequency of urination. If any of this is there then consult your pediatrician for proper evaluation. Urine may be sticky in increase sugar concentration in urine or any kind of urinary infection. So monitor your child, give adequate feeds and if needed consult your doctor.
I hope this answers your query
Wish you and your family good health
