5 Year Daughter, Rash On Trunk, Spreading, Leg Pain. Remedy?

My 5 year old daughter had a rash on her trunk last Thursday, it seemed to clear up the next day, but now what we thought were just bug bites are on her left leg and her left buttock. Now they seem to be spreading and more rashy, varying from pinpoint sized to about dime sized. Since Friday she has also been complaining about that leg hurting. She does not have a fever and otherwise seems to feel fine.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi

Usually rashes associated with viruses are associated with fever either before the onset of rash or along with the rash.

Rashes due to allergy are itchy.

Its not possible to guess the reason without having a look at it.

Since you say its spreading and there is pain in her leg, its better that you have her seen by a Pediatrician and get her treated.

Till then you may give Acetaminophen for her pain in a dose of 15mg/kg/dose.
If it`s itchy, trial of antihistamines like Cetirizine (5mg once a day) will help.

Hope my answer helps.
Best wishes
