6 Month Old Having Low Grade Fever. Has Surgeries For Late Diaphragmatic Hernia, Pyloric Stenosis And Fundo. Concerned
My 6 month old has had a low grade fever on and off for about 3 days she has also been clammy and irritable. My main concern is the fact that she has had 2 surgeries for late diaphragmatic hernia , pyloric stenosis , and a fundo. She has a button but only uses it to vent. She is eating less solids and wanting to nurse more She isn t sleeping well either.
Thanks for asking your query here at healthcaremagic.
You've not mentioned when the surgeries were done.
Based on the symptoms - low grade fever, irritability, poor sleep and appetite, I feel she may be suffering from an infection either viral or bacterial.
Is she passing good urine? Does she complaint of burning whilst urinating? Is there any discharge from ear?
I would advise, considering her history of recent surgery to get her checked over. In the meantime, please keep record of her temperature, encourage adequate amount of oral fluids or feeds.
Please do revert back if you have any further queries.
