65 Year Old, Shows Signs Of Memory Loss, Asks Questions Repeatedly, Remembers More About Older Days Than Present Condition. Symptoms Of Alzheimer's Disease?
Doctor, my mother in law is 65 years old. She is showing signs of memory loss . Keeps asking questions repeatedly every 2 minutes. Last year her sodium level had gone down considerably and now it is in normal level. She recognises every body but she remembers more of her older days than present condition. Is this symptoms of Alzhimers disease? If so whom to consult? Kindly give us an advise..
HI, usha,
Thanks for query.
From her history it seems that she might be having Alzhimers disease.
It is also possible that this might be due to cerebro-basillar insufficiency due to age and athero sclerotic changes in arteries supplying blood to the brain.
Consult Neuro physician and get examined.
Ok and bye.
