68 Years Old, Suffering From Heart Blockage. On Lipitor, Aspirin. Stents Put In Arteries, Does Not Exercise. Cause Of Concern?
My husband who is 68 had 3 stents put in one month ago. 100 percent blockage in one artery and 95 and 90 in the other artery. Now on STD meds plavix, aspirin , lipitor and others. watching diet but not exercising, sleeps at least 10 hours at night and some during the day. I am concerned because exerted no energy and sits in chair all day rarely leaves house.
Hi
some times this happen to patient who underwent any heart related intervention , but usually it more of psychological than actual
i advice that you should help him in form of giving positive thought and starting gradual exercise program
start few min. of walking inside the house on ground level atleast 3-4 times a day then increase to 10 min walk inside home ,then go out near by and you also go with him , and slowly over a few weeks increase walking to 20 -30 min a day
dont forget to take your medicine regularly
i thing he will be alright
take care
