73 Year Old Taking Warfarin, Tired All The While, Heart Arrhythmia. Is This Side Effect ?
My 73 year old mother started taking warfarin a few months ago. She is tired ALL the time. She developed a heart arythmia which is why she takes it. Is this a normal side effect? Is there anything she can do/take to counteract it? She is also very depressed and has been isolating due to being tired all the time. I have never seen her so depressed. She has no history of mood disorders. Can she take another medication?
She takes medication for high blood pressure as well.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M Forum. Your mother is taking warfarin. She has heart arrhythmia . You have not mentioned the type of arrhythmias . Either heart to beat very fast, too slow, irregularly.
Consult a physician and complete assessment is very important in this case due to age factor. Hope I have answered your query. If further any question I will help. Good luck. Dr. HET
