75 Years. Diarrhea, Vomiting. History Of Recurring Bladder Infections Not Responding To Antibiotics. Ultrasound, Blood Work Normal. Advice

My 75 yr. old mother-in-law has recurrent bladder infections. This current UTI has not responded to 2 rounds of antibiotics. Urine was cultured twice. Her Abd.U/S was negative. Blood work came back fine. She was scheduled for a CT Pelvis today but could not make the appt. because she is experiencing diarrhea and vomiting lasting 3-4 hrs. She's trying to not get dehydrated. We are waiting now to hear back from her Dr. to see what she should do next. We don't think a different kind of antibiotic is the answer. I'm wondering if she has a worse kidney infection going on.

Hi and thanks for the query,

I strongly suggest a urine culture and antibiotic sensitivity tests be done to identify the exact germ that is causing these infections. Inappropriate treatment could lead to drug resistant strains further complicating the situation. It is also of utmost importance to identify predisposing conditions to recurrent urinary tract infections like diabetes mellitus, cancer, abdominal mass compressing the urinary tubes (ureters) leading to urine accumulation and favoring infections.

Drinking a lot of water could be of help and the CT scan shall be utmost help. As for now, drinking lots of water could be sufficient. Kind regards.

Homeopath Dr. Mungara Raveendra's  Response
hi i had gone through your query and understand your concerns. i would come up with two different possibilities for your mother in law condition

1.first possibility for diarrhea and vomiting.is VIRAL GASTROENTERITIS; Several different viruses can cause viral gastroenteritis, which is highly contagious and extremely common.

Anyone can get viral gastroenteritis and most people recover without any complications, unless they become dehydrated.

2.second possibility for REDCURRANT URINARY TRACT INFECTION; A UTI is described as uncomplicated when it occurs without presence of physiologic or anatomical abnormalities, not die to instrumentation and is community acquired.

An infections is labeled complicated when there are structural or functional abnormalities present in the urogenital tract..

treatment plan;

i advise you taking Homeopathic medicines gives safe and permanent cure for your mother in law complaints without any side effects.

consult your local homeopathic physician for correct diagnosis of the case and remedy to fit your mother in law complaints. or mail me at drravib4u@yahoo.co.in

hope this is helpful for you, thank you
