81 Years. Faster Breathing, Palpitations, Chills, Ringing Ears. On Sertraline And Bupropion. Side Effects?
I just began taking a low doseof sertraline ...I also take Buprobion. I am experiencing some of the symptoms descibed in the list of side effects. Is there anything I can do to avoid seizures or worse breathing problems? My breathing is too fast, some palpitations, I am chilling and my ears are ringing...... I am 81 years old......
Hi, Welcome to HCM, You are taking bupropion and Sertraline, used for various disorders including depression, bupropion is known to cause seizure and other side effects like high blood pressure and palpitations.
By chance if you take alcohol or smoke please stop both. Sertraline can cause dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness and GIT side effects like nausea and diarrhea. Akathisia—inner tension, restlessness, and the inability to stay still. If you are having symptoms stop the drugs and report it to your treating doctor or if it is severe enough then a visit to ER is warranted. Hope this helps . Take care. Good Luck.
