What id the cause of this & wuiill it last? I am 83 - otherwise fit?
Hi and thanks for the query, It is important to note for how long you have been have been experiencing this pain. Any notion of trauma, osteoarthritis or joint disease in the past should be noted. Doing a rheumatological evaluation , measuring markers of inflammation and an X ray are important initial evaluation steps. Simple analgesics and anti inflammatory agents could be useful initial treatment options as a detailed review is awaited. Physiotherapy could be also useful in the long run. Kind regards
