91 Year Old With Broken Hip. Restless Legs. On Neurontin And Dioxin. Is The Medication Making It Worse?
my mother just broke her hip a week ago, she is 91. she is healing well and has started rehab. the only thing that is literally driving her crazy is restless legs. she has had this for years and it hasn't really bothered her much lately until this happened and she is flat of her back and can't move. legs are in squeezers - can't move or roll over and she is literally loosing her mind over it. she is on many prescriptions - Neurontin - atacand - dioxin- thyroid meds - metphormin glipizide and with this surgery, they are giving her lortab and started keppra. I know one of these drugs is making the rls worse. any idea which one to take out of play first. thanks Lolly
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The restless legs is more likely to be due to the injury that you have suffered or a mild degenerative changes in the lumbar spine rather than the medications that you are taking.
