A Quarter Size Painful Area On The Head Weeping Pinkish Sticky Fluid Since 4 Hours?
My 17 year old has a round quarter size area on her head that is weeping a clear pinkish sticky fluid. It is extremely painful to simply move her hair and she can't lay her head on the pillow. It has been weeping for over 4 hours. There is no bite or pimple on the area.

A Quarter Size Painful Area On The Head Weeping Pinkish Sticky Fluid Since 4 Hours?
Hello, Thanks for the query. she might have developed furuncle. These are deep bacterial infections. Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests. This test should be done on fluid obtained from the lesion. Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
