Abdomen Getting Larger, Put On Spironolactone, Furosemide For Fluid Retention, Breast Swollen, Painful. Cause?
my abdomen was getting larger so i was put on spironolactone and furosemide for fluid retentsion but t here was no fluid but mymy breast got swoolen and painfull and its been like this for the last 5 months ihave seen the consultant on april and was told they would go back to normal but there still the same i am going to see him again in august so what would you advise iam male age 66 and i dont want these man boobs

I am very sorry to say that spironolactone it self develops Gynaecomastia ( female type breast in male).
At this age of 66 years in male amount of testosterone diminishes hence there develops female type breast.
So in my opinion please get in blood for androgen, estrogen F S H/ LH .
Upload reports of consult one more physician and get the treatment.
