Abdominal Pain, Dark Stool, Uncomfortable During Urination. Any Ideas?

I have abdominal pain in the area of my ovaries and radiates down to my anus when ever I sit down. The last 2 days my stool has been very dark and today it was almost black. When I poop I can literally feel it move through my intestines on the way out and when I pee it is kind of uncomfortable. This has happened before and it eventually goes away but it is getting more frquent. Any ideas??

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Black stools may mean occult bleeding, from higher up, in the GastroIntestinal tract …
See an Internist as soon as possible
Get yourself examined
Investigation like blood count and stool analysis will be necessary

Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
Good luck

General & Family Physician Dr. Salin K Eliyas's  Response
Thank you for consulting with Healthcare Magic.

To make a certain diagnosis I'd need more specific details.

1. How old are you ?
2. How long had you been experiencing the symptoms ?
3. Have you noticed any particular pattern/frequency for the symptoms ? (Eg: associated with your periods)
4. What is the consistency of the Stools ? Does it stick to the wall of toilet ?
5. Is there any change in your feeding behaviour you noticed recently ? Early satiety, difficulty in food swallowing etc.

Black stools suggest bleeding inside the Gut. The definite diagnosis warrants a physical examination and blood work.

Get an appointment with a surgeon and get yourself examined. In the meantime I'd advise you to take some nutritional supplements with Iron and Vitamin B Complex.

Wish you good health. Please revert with further progress.
