Abdominal Pain, Loose Motions Post Meals. Taking Antibiotics, Some Relief. Precautions To Avoid Symptoms?

Hello doc, i feel pain in lower left abdomen and have loose motion after meals, especially heavy solid diets . I had loose motions ( dysentery ) 20 days ago and my daughter had prescribed some antibiotic for five days. The bouts of loose motions have subsided but soon after eating meals i feel pain in abdomen and urge to pass stool. Please advise what to do? Any medicine and precautions.

Hello Deepak, Thanks for your query.
Before answering you i would have like to known your age and duration of the present complaint. From the information you have provided, what i can gather is that you might have IBS or giardiasis or amoebiasis. Take a course of Tab Metron-DF thrice daily for five days. You may feel bad taste as a side effect of the drug. Go for a stool routine examination test to look for cysts and trophozoites. For pain you may take tab buscopan or drotin sos. Have lots of water and fibrous diet and have meals at regular times. Get back to us if you arent relieved after that.
