Abdominal Pain, Questionable PID, Cramps. What Is Wrong?

Hi doctor, am a 29 yr old female. Had severe lower abdomen pain on the right side. Suspected it to be appendicitis , but ultrasound scans were negative for it. Diagnosis- questionable PID. Blood profile indicates creatinine of. 1.1, I ve had swelling in my ankles n feet for olds a year now. Apart from general tiredness n pain in the abdomen and cramps that r severe during menstrual cycles, I ve no other symptoms. No fever, no nausea. No pain urination. I want to know what could be wrong.

Hi ! Appendicitis is more of a clinical diagnosis by your doctor, and ultrasound examination can not confirmingly exclude it. What are the findings in the pelvis for which they leveled it as questionable PID ? What are the reports of routine blood tests like complete blood count and urine test.
Even a silent urinary tract infection can give rise to such pain abdomen.
If you are having increased intensity of pain during your periods, then it goes more towards pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) or to a condition called endometriosis. This can be excluded or diagnosed by a gynaecologist.
I would suggest you to discuss with your family physician and get reviewed on these aspects. Good luck.
