Abdominal Pain With Fever. Given Antibiotics For Suspected UTI, No Relief. Urine Test And CAT Scans Negative. Continue Medicine?
I was diagnosed with a UTI a couple of weeks ago and took an antibiotic for 10 days. My only symptoms were pain in my right side with a low grade fever and nausia. My urine test came back negative so labs were drawn and a cat scan was done to rule out stones or appendix issues. I finished my antibiotic on Monday and have had pains in my right side that come and go for the last couple of days. My question is, if I have a UTI, why did my urinalysis come back negative and since I am having the discomfort in my side once again that initially led up to waking up really sick last Saturday, should I go back to the doctor for more antibiotics?
Hi, the pain in the right side of the stomach may be due to the urinary tract infection, a small stone in the urinary tract, appendicitis, or T.B iliocaecal junction. or colitis of the desending colon. So i advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
