Abscess In Pelvic Area, Broken Tunnels. On Antibiotics, Pain Medication. When Will It Heal?

I recently had a abscess on my pelvic area. After they made a incision, drained it out, broke up the tunnels and packed it and i went home, with antibotics and pain meds. Couple days later they checked it again and took the PACKING out. Now its been a few days now and it seem to have a hard lump still where it was. Is this normal in the healing process?
