Accidentally Got Dettol In Eyes. Prescribed With Milflox And Optive. Having Irritation
Hi, My daughter who is 6 years old accidentally got dettol in her eyes yesterday. and we consulted the doctor and he has prescribed MILFLOX 5mg and OPTIVE 5mg saying there is some damage in Cornea due to dettol exposure.It has been a day now and still she has the irritation. and the redness has come down now. Can you please let me know if there is any affect for her eyes.

Dettol is unlikely to cause any damage to eye provided exposure is not long and eyes were immediately washed with water. Amount of damage can only be assessed by properly done slit lamp examination by opthalmologist. I suggest you to consult opthalmologist.
