Acid Reflux, Was Fine With Zantac. Had Spit And Coughed, After Walk, Fine. Reason Could Be?

my 18 mo old has had acid reflux since he was 5 weeks old...he seems to be doing ok with the help of zantac, but tonight he spit up a little and then coughed a little..he has been a tad congested and after his nap today nothing seemed to make him happy..i took him for a walk after about 20 minutes of fussiness and he was in a better mood when we came in...could it be congestion causing this...a few weeks ago he had allergy related stuff and once that cleared up he was fine...he doesn't seem sick plays and laughs...

usually the reflux will clear by 18 months. it may persist for few more months
your description suggests that he aspirated some of the gastric contents after reflux
give semisolid foods and make him sleep in a propped up position or in a prone position to avoid aspiration
