Advice For Diabetic Patient Having Continuous Indigestion And Vomiting
Hi Doctor, my mother is diabetic. She had recurrent UTI and had plenty of pus cells in urine a month back. She was treated with antibiotics recently. Today's urine analysis shows..albumin -1+, pus cells-25-30 hpf, epithelial cell-6-8. She is having continuous indigestion and vomitings
hi there couple of things first, she still has urinary tract infection you should repeat a urine culture so that an antibiotic can be started and that will make her better
now indigestion and vomitting there are numerous causes that could cause this 1. incomplete control of sugars 2. kidney dysfunction 3. daibetic gasrtoparesis
it cannot be diagnosed like this i would suggest a kft, fbs, ppbs also
UTI is not yet cured. Pus cell should not exceed 5 cell in a normal person. uncontrolled diabetes is the commonest cause of recurrent UTI'S. In this situation I would advice my patient to check the blood sugar levels and keep it under control. Secondly to do an urine culture and sensitivity testto choose the best antibiotic treatment. Ultrasound of the KUB to rule out infection of the kidney and bladder.
