Advice For Oozing White Headed Bump On Head For A 7 Years Old Child
My son has a bump in his head. it has what looks like white heads on top of it that ooze. I had this condition as a child and I dont know what was used to treat my head when I would get these bumps. Not sure if it matters but he is african american 7 year old boy. Its sore to touch also

Seems to be scalp folliculitis.
Specific treatment:
>I usually put my patients on oral antibiotics (penicillin group) for a week.
>Topical mupirocin ointment twice daily.
General measures:
>Avoid using hair oil
>Keep the scalp clean by daily Or alternate day shampoo
