Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

Oral contraceptive pills are commonly prescribed for regularizing periods and are usually prescribed for 6 months. You can take the pills again if you are having irregular periods. It is worrisome to take these pills for more than 2 years as they predispose to vascular disorders in some women. You can take these pills for next 6 months but not more than that. If irregular periods continue, you need to get a detailed examination done by a gynecologist.
Thanks.
