After Taking Obimet My Period Is Delayed. Should I Stop It?
I had ectopic pregnancy in 2011 and my right tube was removed as it was ruptured. We have been trying to get conceive only from past 6 months. I saw my gyn to prepare myself to plan again and she prescribed obimet sr 500 mg with just physical check up. One tablet everyday and also folic acid. I have had regular periods soon after my surgery. But I observed once my periods delayed by 1 week after regularly taking obimet. Should I stop taking it??
Obimet is used for treating high blood sugar and polycystic ovarian disease. Obimet usually shouldn't cause irregularity in menstruation. It is not advisable to discontinue Obimet without doctor's recommendation. So please follow up with your doctor to discuss the need for Obimet in your case and undergo detailed evaluation for menstrual issues.
