Am 43. Having Abnormal Periods. Have Brown Mucus Discharge, Back Pain, Sore Nipples. Changing Of PMS Symptoms?
I have started having abnormal periods since last fall. I am 43 so I know this is normal. I am expecting my period on the 6th of June (that would be the full 28 days) and today I noticed a brown mucus discharge. I also have lower back pain (that's new for my periods since fall) and also my breasts and nipples are very sore (again new symptom since fall). Do your PMS symptoms change as you age? Is brown mucus before a period common?

Hi,
Yes. With advancing age- the menstrual pattern changes-due to harmonal changes at menopause. It is a gradual process Takes about2-5 tears.
- You may have a regular or altered flow following the brown mucus
- The soreness of breast would go with the starting mences. If it is too much bothering it can be treated. Pl. see your Gynac after periods are over
- The back ache is a usual PMS sign Might start now If you have white dischage it needs to be checked & treated-for that may cause back ache Back ache may indicate need of Calcium +vit. D supplimentation.
If it is too much bothering it can be treated. Pl. see your Gynac after periods are over
Actually after 40 one should start having regular health check up & ahealthy ®ular lifestyle.
Thanks.
