Am I Pregnant If I Have A Light Period And Protruded Belly While On The Pill?
I have a septate uterus. I am on the pill and have had my periods. However I believe I may be a few months pregnant. Pregnancy test are negative. However my belly had protruded quite roundly and as I have had two children I can also now feel what I believe to be movement. My question is, is it possible that I am pregnant but due to being on the pill I am getting a light period and test are showing negative for some reason to do with my septate uterus? Thanks
You will need to know that it is not only pregnancy that can present with symptoms similar to those of pregnancy. If you were on pills it is most unlikely that you maybe pregnant and besides one of the most common side effects of using pills is abnormal vaginal bleeding. Septate uterus is simply an abnormality of uterine formation which can not complicate if you are not pregnant. But you may present with problems if you become pregnant with a septate uterus. If pregnancy test come out negative and you are still in doubt about your pregnancy, just let your doctor make you go through a pelvic scan which is confirmatory enough. They are a lot of things that could explain your symptoms, just make sure you see a gynobs soon enough.
Hope this helps
