Am I Supposed To Continuously Use Primolut-N To Get My Periods Regularly?
Hello. Good morning Sometime last year, I didn’t see my period for 6 months, I went to see a gynee and he prescribed primolut N for 3 months to induce my period. I used it and I got periods in that 3 months. After I stopped using the drug, my period stopped too. Am I supposed to keep using Primolut N to get my period?

Hi,
The bleeding you get after Primolut-N is withdrawal bleeding after stopping the pills. This course of the pills is given for 3 months with the hope that periods would continue in normal monthly form after this treatment. But to reverted back to menstrual irregularity.
This means you need investigations to know exact cause of your problem and then get cause specific treatment to have permanent cure. You need to get investigated for thyroid, ovaries, pituitary hormone estimations along with USG scan to look for PCOD or ovarian cysts. Please consult your gynecologist / endocrinologist for more specific personal advice.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
