Hi,

When taken correctly, the oral contraceptive pill Yamini is over 99% effective at preventing an unwanted pregnancy. You need to take the pill at the same time every day for 21 days, then stop for seven days, and during this week you have a period-type bleed. You start taking the pill again after seven days. As a long-term birth control method, Yamini requires consistent use, so take the pills as exactly prescribed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
