Hi.
Thanks for asking in Healthcare Magic.

Minoxidil solution spreads quickly once you apply on the scalp and does not stay in the area affected. Hence it is difficult to limit the dose and often you end up using more dose than required. Also it takes a longer time to get dried and the hair looks greasy and wet. Sometimes the solution drips down.

On the other hand the foam is limited to the area applied, less greasy, doesn't spread, more convenient and less messy. It gets dried quickly and the amount can be controlled.

Ketaconazole is an anti fungal shampoo. Fungal infection and dandruff increases hair fall. Shampoo bath is to be avoided for atleast 4 hours after application of Minoxidil. Also the scalp should be dry before applying it. Probably you have both fungal infection and dandruff and that's why your Dr. has prescribed both. I think instead of using two shampoos daily, you can use them on alternate days.

I hope this is useful.
