Antibiotics Given After Having Discharge Post Operation. Having Chills, Pain, Smells From Vagina. Solution?

I have had my 2week post op. I have a discharge and wAs given 2 antibiotics. How long before they start to work and should I still have a discharge after taking for 3days? I had chills but no fever and I still have pain. Thanks oh also I was reading about smells coming from the vaginal area. What can I do to avoid that problem. I am 39 and very concerned.
