Any Chances Of HIV Transmission If Massaged On The Back And Neck And Few Pimples Seen ?
Good day Hope you can help? I went out last night to a bar. I got a massage from one of the prostitutes in the bar. I had my t-shirt on and massaged my back and neck. After that she went to sit down opposite me and I than noticed a cut with dry blood on her right ring finger. I am a bit concerned that she might have infected me if she had hiv as the massage was hard and rough. My skin was a bit irritated this morning due to the massage. I have got a few pimpels in the neck and am really worried that I might of gotten hiv through this massage. I checked the t-shirt this morning and could not see any blood stains on it. Do I need testing for this incident and should I be worried? Thanks in advance!!
You need not worry. HIV virus cannot survive in dried secretion/blood outside the body. Most of the times HIV is transmitted sexually through moist mucosal surfaces, when the genital secretions gets exchanged. The virus enters the body through a break(s) in the genital mucosa sustained during sexual activity.
