Any Complications After Swallowing Small Piece Of Plastic?
shallowed a small piece of plastic that was in my drink...i was using a straw. It still feels like its stuck. it went down some but it is still stuck. I am going to the doctor tomorrow but is there anything I can do? Ive eaten alot of bread and have been drinking water
Noted the history and understood the concerns. Many a times it is the feeling that lingers on after swallowing some unusual things like you said of a plastic and so on. And on examination and investigations there may not be any foreign body or there can be an injury that is caused by the foreign body or by the tries one does to remove or forcefully swallow the suspected things. Hence the best way is to get an ENT examination, laryngopharyngoscopy and an upper GI Endoscopy to get the confirmation. Stop swallowing large quantities of water or bread or bananas as you might hear from friends and families. These may harm further. Try to relax and get to the Doctor as soon as possible.
