Any Difference Between Glycomet GP-2 And Glycomet SR 500? Diabetic, Advised Glycomet SR
Hi Doctor,
Could you please let me know the difference between Glycomet GP-2 and Glycomet SR 500? My mother , age is 59, is diabetic and she takes Glycomet GP-2. Her sugar level is 97. Doctor has asked to intake Glycomet SR 500. Could you please advise whether the change in medicine is required?
HI Thank for asking to HCM The deference between these two drugs are, Glycomet GP-2 is combination of two molecules while Glycomet is single molecule but here SR is stand for sustain release form, which means it get release in stomach slowly, if the patient's sugar level is under control then it is better to start sustain release single molecule hope this would help you,, take care of your mother have nice day
