Any Help For Dry, Cracked And Bleeding Knuckles Turning Into A Red Bruising Color?
My knuckles have recently started to dry severely, crack and bleed, and have also started turning a red bruising color. There is not really much internal pain or tightening, but I do have a pretty bad burning sensation on the top of my knuckles. It's on both hands, including thumbs and has not responded to moisturizer. Can anyone help?
I can understand your concern for dry, cracked and bleeding areas turning into a red bruising color over knuckles .
After reading the query, in my opinion it appears to be possibility keratoderma transgradiens. Stay away from dusty environment and any type of chemical or detergents coming in contact of your hands. I suggest you to apply medium potency steroid cream application because are best effective in these condition. I would have opted for either mometasone or Fluticasone cream.
Do not pinch, pop or scratch or even touch the area unnecessarily as it can cause aggravation of the rash. It would be best to consult a dermatologist for the best possible cause.
Take care.
