I had surgery with many stitches. I am also have to bandage a spot with surgery. So I have very itchy skin in this area. Is there over counter with beniline ( misspelled I am sure) I just want medication that will help me to relax and not want to itch. I have used anti itch lotions & it hasn t worked that well. Hi,

You might have developed irritant contact dermatitis. Kindly consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

You may apply combined cream of steroid and antibiotic. Take antihistaminics like desloratidine 5 mg twice a day. If needed, short tapering course of steroid may be taken.

I hope this would help you.

Thanks.
