Any Solution For Persistent Coughing Fits Leading To Breathing Difficulty And Fever?

I've had these persistent coughing fits for the last few days but I'm producing no mucus with the fits. My last coughing fit had just been so violent my nose started to bleed and I nearly passed out. Breathing has been difficult as well for the last few days altogether and just within the last 24 hours have had a low grade fever. What may I be looking at as a possible solution?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The most common causes for acute coughing are viral infection such the common cold or flu, allergies with a post nasal drip, asthma.

If you do not have a history of asthma, then you may want to consider the other 2 possibilities.
You should consider the use of a cough suppressant. These would be available over the counter at your local pharmacy. These can be combined with an antihistamine.

I hope this helps
