Any Suggestion For Getting Pimple With Yellowish Puss After Having Tattoo On Upper Arm?

I had a tattoo done in a place that was very clean and clearly they exceed universal precautions. The tattoo is on my upper arm, I am a female and have some peach fuzz, but no shaving was necessary. After a week I got what appeared to be a small pimple, It pusses and then bleed a little. I used a and d ointment given to me by the artist for the first week. It has since grown and oozes a disgusting yellowish puss?

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Seems to be a bacterial infection (Folliculitis/furuncle). I usually ask my patients of folliculitis/furuncle to take a week of oral antibiotics like the one from the penicillin group.

Topical antibacterial ointment like mupirocin will help in addition.

take care
regards
