Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Any Suggestion For Having Dizziness, Sensation Of Waves In Brain?
My 91 year old grandmother has recently been having dizziness. She describes it as a sensation of waves in her brain. The episodes do not seem to relate to suddenly standing from a seated position. Her blood pressure when measured shortly after does not seem to be abnormal.
From your description it sounds like your mother is have a spinning type dizziness or labyrinthitis. This is usually self limiting and should resolve by itself in a few days to weeks. If it persists I would recommend her seeing a neurologist to do further investigation to find other causes of her dizziness.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help
