Any Suggestion For Kid Suffering From Viral Fever, Red Tongue, Neck Pain?
My nineteen month old granddaughter has been sick for over a week Her symptoms are: red tongue, desire to stick curled tongue out of mouth, difficulty moving neck, trouble rolling over, little or no appetite, seems to hurt when swallowing, had fever for three to four days but this has subsided, cries when she has to move, and must be encouraged to drink. She was taken to the Stollrey Children s Hospital la week ago and the parents were told it was viral. Is this more than it seems and why does she not appear to be improving?
thanks for your question. well indeed this needs a relook and need to consider bacterial infection. has she passed good amount of urine...does she look dehydrated...if no then she would need fluids if not orally then intravenous. also a throat swab along with hemogram. and kindly visit your doctor for starting antibiotics.
