Any Suggestion For Migraine And Depression Other Than Painkillers?
Hi dr David I am a migraine and depression sufferer for the past 22 yrs and have been around the block with many blood tests and more tests like Sonar (head also), x-rays etc. Eventually I was referred to a well respected and qualified professor Xxxxxxxxx and after reading all the tests and doing a Sonar on my neck and head his reply was short and sweet I cannot help you....just continue with the painkillers that work for you ( 1x valium and 4x betapain) I am 62 yrs young. Any recommendations from your side regarding medication for the migraines ? Kind regards Francois
I have noted your symptoms. It is unfortunate that you have been suffering for 22 years and no help is being offered by your doctors.
As of now, you should be started on preventive medications to reduce the severity and frequency of headaches. Sodium valproate would be a good option as it would help in bipolar disorder too.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,
