Any Suggestion For Palpitation, Hoarse Voice, Chest Pain When Having FT4:1.25, TSH:4.8?
I am parna Pal , female aged 45 yrs . I am a patient of hypo thyroidism since last 10 years . I have family back ground of thyroid [father and maternal uncle] .I am treating by a doctor of APOLLO Chennai . The doctor advised me 75 mcg thyronorm /day . I am taking this medicine since last august 2013 . Yesterday I have checked my TSH and FT4 and got report tsh 4.8 , FT4 1.25 respectively . Now I am feeling uneassy , such as palpitition ,drowsyness , harresness of voice , slight chest pain in case of hard job . Pls advise me dose . Thanking you .

Here your TSH and free t4 are within normal range ....
normal values for tsh : 0.5 to 5 mU/L
Free t4 : 0.7 to 1.9 ng / DL
If you are having acute infection than palpitation also can be there ...
So detail history and physical examination has to be done ....
Here follow up reports will decide your maintainence dose ....
I would suggest you to investigate with chest x ray and ECG as you are having chest pain and slight breath problem ...
This is to rule put respi and cardiac cause if present ....
Take care ....
Consult physician for examination....
